If, like us, you think putting five 410 feet tall turbines on the Hill of Nigg is a bad idea, Nigg Awareness Group (NAG) is here to help. We are not against renewable energy projects in the right place, nor are our objections so-called NIMBYism, as you will see.

NAG is a growing group of local residents, representing a wide cross-section of the communities in the Hill of Nigg area and the Tarbat peninsula.

We feel strongly about saving the unique and beautiful landscape we are so lucky to enjoy and the setting for the magical Pictish sculpture and artefacts treasured by our communities and that draw so many visitors to our area.

We have many active members with skills and experience in relevant fields including ecology, energy, engineering, law, environmental science, ornithology and photography.

But we also have a team of leading professionals to advise us and ensure we present our case professionally and with maximum impact. Our expert team includes specialists in landscape and cultural heritage, while as to legal and planning aspects, the Group are advised in this matter by Brodies LLP's specialist planning team, which has valuable experience of a range of projects in the renewables industry.

What we are - and what we’re not…
